Hotel/Reservations

Q: How close are you to the cruise port?
A: The Harbor House Hotel is approximately 0.5 miles from the port’s entry. The cruise ships are a stone’s throw from the hotel!

Q: Do you allow pets? 
A: We do not allow pets at the Harbor House Hotel.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations should be made at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a fee of one night's room/tax.** Advance Purchase and other non-refundable reservations may not be cancelled due to the nature of the reservation. These reservations require full pre-payment and cannot be amended once booked. Parking/Transportation

Q: What is check-in time?
A: Check in time is 4PM. Guests are free to arrive anytime on the day of arrival. If a room is available, the Front Desk is happy to check you in. However, if one is not ready, we are happy to store your luggage until the room becomes available.

Q: What time is check-out?
A: Check-out time is by 12PM. Extended check-outs are granted based on availability. Please see the Front Desk for details.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept at the Harbor House Hotel?
A: The hotel accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Discovery, American Express and Mastercard). The Harbor House does NOT accept cash or checks.

Q: Are there any additional fees?
A: The hotel charges a 15% occupancy tax for overnight stays, but no other fees are automatically added unless a good or service has been provided. The hotel will authorize your credit card at check-in for the entire stay, plus an additional $25 per night for an incidental hold. Whatever is not used at check-out will be released within 5 business days (differs from bank to bank).

Q: How old do you have to be to check-in?
A: You must be 21 years or older to check-in at the Harbor House Hotel. The reservation must be in your name with your credit card on file as you are securing responsibility for that room.

Parking/Transportation

Q: What are the parking options for hotel guests?
A: The Harbor House Hotel offers self-parking in our hotel parking lot for $15/night plus tax. Arriving guests will initially gain access to the lot via “buzzer.” Guestroom keys will allow entry for the duration of the stay. Additionally, there are several paid parking lots surrounding the hotel that are available for hourly parking.

Q: Does the Harbor House offer cruise parking?
A: The Cruise Terminal is a short walk from the Harbor House Hotel! Guests who stay at the hotel prior to sailing may leave their car for the duration of the cruise for $15/night. This cost is added to the hotel bill and paid at check-out. Vehicles being left for an extended period (cruise parking) will be moved to “Lot 2” at Pier 21 on the morning of the cruise.

Q: Do you offer any type of transportation?
A: The Harbor House Hotel does not offer transportation. There are several points of interest within walking distance of the hotel including shops, restaurants and museums. Taxis and Rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are the best ways to get to and around the Island.

Amenities

Q: Are there microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms?
A: There are small refrigerators and microwaves in all guestrooms and suites. You can view a comprehensive list of our in-room amenities here.

Q: Do you have a restaurant on-site?
A: The Harbor House Hotel does not have any dining outlets. Complimentary coffee is served in the morning, and vending areas are available on each floor for a quick snack. There are several nearby establishments that offer a complimentary chef's choice when purchasing a meal. See the Front Desk for details.

Q: Is breakfast included with the room?
A: Complimentary coffee and juice are available each morning for hotel guests, but there are no food items served at this time.

Q: Do you offer rollaway beds and/or cribs?
A: The hotel has several twin-sized rollaway beds that can be added to guestrooms for $20/night. Cribs are complimentary. There are a limited number of these items, and are given on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, we cannot guarantee one will be available during your stay.

Q: I have a boat. Can I bring it?
A: Sure! One of the perks of our location is the marina. Boat slips are available for overnight guests and daily visitors. There are several spaces available with a maximum length of 42 feet. Please call the Front Desk at (409) 763-3321 to reserve or for details.
